POPPET'S PECULIAR PETSHOP SHOW
IMPORTANT - PLEASE SEE THE BOOKING CONDITIONS BELOW BEFORE MAKING AN ENQUIRY!
Unfortunately due to some re-current misunderstandings when making bookings we have had to set out the conditions below, please read through them carefully and only send your inquiry if you accept these conditions. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have prior to booking by email to: enquiry@gems-entertainments.co.uk
1. Bookings are accepted verbally or via the web on the understanding that a completed booking form and the appropriate deposit will be returned to the address given within 10 days of the date you were sent your booking forms and that where there has been a verbal or web agreement made, the cancellation condition will stand. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN SENT THE APROPRIATE FORMS (i.e. The Petshop Show, "Vocality", FUNky Monkey Disco, Karaoke Disco and Gems Roadshow forms are all different). The Booking Form states the item that you are booking, no responsibility is accepted once the form has been signed.
2. Cheques and Postal Orders are an acceptable form of deposit, but the remainder becomes payable in full on fulfilment of the booking in CASH ONLY, cheques will not be accepted at this stage unless previously arranged or if payment is from a Company or School etc. If payment is made by personal cheque it will incur a £10 surcharge.
3. PLEASE ENSURE THAT A NO SMOKING ENVIRONMENT is available for the shows to take place – this is THE LAW and protects the children present and Poppet from passive smoking. The venue should NOT be in the same location as a bar serving alcohol although a separate room at the same venue is acceptable.
4. Where Poppet is performing with the Peculiar Petshop Show please ensure that small children are supervised at all times, and not allowed to approach the play-board area. Poppet will have no option but to halt the show, and will only commence once the child/children have sat down or left the room.
5. Where Poppet provides the FUNky MONKEY DISCO, KARAOKE DISCO or GEMS ROADSHOW, the client will ensure a suitable venue i.e. adequate size for dancing and/or space for the games to take place. On no account should there be a bouncy castle or the like at the same venue. The venue for POPPET’S PECULIAR PETSHOP SHOW , FUNky MONKEY DISCO, KARAOKE DISCO or GEMS ROADSHOW MUST NOT BE UPSTAIRS.
6. The Client will be responsible for ensuring that where parents are staying for the duration of the performance of the PECULIAR PETSHOP SHOW, that they are either in another room or refrain from chatting throughout. Continuous background noise distracts the children and spoils their enjoyment of the show. A non-parent party is thoroughly recommended as the children have no distraction!
7. Please ensure that there is a MINIMUM OF 10 CHILDREN present for Poppet’s Peculiar Petshop and a MINIMUM OF 20 CHILDREN present for the FUNky Monkey disco or the shows/disco’s will NOT go ahead, there is no maximum number provided that there is adult supervision.
8. Bookings are accepted on the understanding that the time stated on your completed booking form shall be the START time. Due to further commitments it will be necessary to adhere to the start time in order to fulfil the booking and enable Poppet to reach the next destination in adequate time.
9. Continuous video recording or sound-tracking of all or any part of the shows WILL NOT BE PERMITTED without prior consent, or this will incur costs equal with current daily TV recording rates as set by EQUITY. However, video recording of snippets of the show and of the children intermittently and Flash photography, is permitted throughout the show.
10. Please ensure that parking at the venue is available and adjacent to a suitable entrance, health and safety laws are set to protect anyone who carries heavy equipment, therefore you should ensure there is a suitable entrance that is not any distance from where the disco/show is to be set up.
11. Cancellation of this booking will only be accepted in writing, not less than 28 days prior to the date required. Cancellations less than 28 days prior to the date required will result in 50% of the total outstanding becoming payable. This will not be payable if the booking is simply changed to an alternative date and takes place within 3 months. All deposits are non-refundable. Answerphone messages, telephone calls or emails to cancel bookings will NOT be accepted any cancellations must be made in writing by post.
We reserve the right to cancel any performance on the spot and with loss of deposit if any of these conditions are not adhered to.
